Heigh Hoe It’s Home From Work We Go Nursery Rhyme Lyrics, Video and Printable

Hi Ho, also called Heigh Hoe, is a famous children’s song made famous by Disney. The song gained popularity when it was sung by the seven dwarfs in the Disney movie Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Its chorus is one of the most recognizable tunes, thanks to how catchy it is. Everyone who grew up watching Disney movies can sing or whistle the tune.

The film has the dwarfs sing two versions of the first line: Hi Ho, it’s home from work we go, and Hi Ho, it’s off to work we go. Most people mistakenly think the latter is the original while it is the former.

Although later in the movie, the dwarfs sing Hi Ho It’s Home from work we go, the version that introduces the song is hi hoe; It’s home from work we go! Were you singing it right?

Lyrics for Hi Ho Off to Work We Go

The most memorable part of the song is the below verse:

Heigh Hoe it’s home from work we go
Heigh Hoe! Heigh Hoe!

However, there are versions with extra verses that make the whole song:

Hi Ho Hi Ho, It’s Off To Work We Go!!
We did dig dig dig dig dig dig dig
In our Mine, the whole day through
To dig dig dig dig dig dig dig dig
It’s what we like to do
It ain’t no trick
To get rich quick
If ya dig dig, dig
With a shovel or a stick
In the Mines (Echo: In the mines)
LOUDER: IN THE MINES(echo: IN THE MINES)
Where a million diamonds
LONG: Shhhiiinnnneee (shine)
We dig dig dig dig dig dig dig dig
From early mornin’ til’ night
We dig dig dig dig dig dig dig dig
Up everything in sight
We take our time
Then find some more
There’s thousands to be sometime born
And We dont know what we dig them for
We dig dig diga dig dig
